In 2016, we became burdened by the plight of our neighbors in Flint, Michigan who were debilitated by poisoned water. We became a bridge to get water, testing devices and much needed hope for schools, nursing homes and churches in the city of Flint. To raise awareness, our youth spent the summer learning about water treatment, filtration and growing cilantro to learn whether it could in face filter water that contains lead. This project was made possible by a generous grant provided by the Reformed Church in America Disaster Relief Fund and contributions made by local partners.
