Upgrading Jesus

We hope this message finds you well and uplifted. On July 12, 2026, Dr. Michelle Loyd-Paige delivered a powerful sermon titled "Upgrading Jesus: A Transformed Life." Her message was both inspiring and challenging, urging us to deepen our understanding of Jesus and embrace the transformative power of faith. The Challenge of Radical Love and Forgiveness: Dr. Loyd-Paige reminded us that following Jesus requires embracing radical love and forgiveness, even when it feels impossible. There are no exceptions in the command to love our enemies and forgive seventy times seven.

Jesus Welcomes All: The story from Mark 7:24-30 about the Syrophoenician woman highlighted Jesus' inclusivity. Despite societal boundaries, her faith in Jesus' grace was unwavering, teaching us that Jesus welcomes everyone, regardless of their background or past mistakes.

Transformation Through Persistent Faith: The sermon emphasized that an upgraded view of Jesus involves persistent faith. This faith transforms desperation into hope and exclusion into belonging, showing that even a crumb of Christ's grace is sufficient for transformation.
