Upgrading Jesus: Part 9

Pastor Burns reminded the congregation that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells within us, empowering us to perform miracles and bring about community transformation.

- Community and Reconciliation: Emphasizing the need for love and reconciliation,  we challenged the congregation to embrace diversity and engage with those who are different from themselves.

The sermon concluded with a call to focus on the mission rather than distractions. Jesus demonstrated this in Matthew 9:35-38, where He continued His ministry despite the Pharisees' accusations. Pastor Burns encouraged the congregation to prioritize compassion for people over the opinions of the Pharisees. By focusing on the needs of the community, believers can fulfill their God-given purpose and bring about revival.

The sermon ended with a heartfelt prayer, asking God for forgiveness for the times when the Pharisee within us has taken control. Pastor Burns prayed for the congregation to become a place of reconciliation and love, embodying the fruit of the Spirit and focusing on God’s mission.
