The MAM Supports Immigrants group has learned that a "new neighbor" family has been living in Holland for several months with no furniture and very few of the things needed to set up house.  The father worked for the U.S. military in Afghanistan for 15 years, and they were forced from their home.  MAM is teaming up with Intersection Ministries to provide them with:

  • Furniture

  • Dishes, utensils, cookware

  • Sheets, towels, washcloths

  • Cleaning supplies and basic tools

  • Toys and bikes for the kids

Please go to this spreadsheet to see the list of what's needed.  Find something you can provide, add your name to the list, and then bring it to the children's church room in the basement.  (New or "gently used," please.)  Do you need help?  Contact Chuck Green (green@hope.edu) and someone from the group will be in touch to arrange pickup and delivery.

We're hoping to donate as much as possible by the end of June, but the sooner the better.  Thank you!

PS  The focus of the Courageous Conversations service on June 29 will be supporting immigrants.  David Lee of Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates will be in worship with us and then make a presentation after the service for those who want to know more.
